From the constitutional rights of students and employees to institutional obligations related to public records and meetings and local elections, Mr. Toohey has the knowledge and experience to handle the numerous legal disciplines encompassed in Education Law. Mr. Toohey is a frequent presenter for the Vermont School Boards Insurance Trust and school districts across Vermont.

About Mr. Toohey

Mr. Toohey joined the firm in 2010 and became a partner in 2017.  He primarily focuses his practice on civil litigation and education and employment law.   Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Toohey served as a law clerk to the Honorable R. Marc Kantrowitz of the Massachusetts Appeals Court and served on the Executive Committee for the Massachusetts Guide to Evidence.  While in law school, Mr. Toohey served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Harry M. Grossman of the Massachusetts Land Court.
