Mr. McDermott joined the firm in 2023 and his practice is concentrated in the areas of education and employment law. Working closely with clients Mr. McDermott provides counsel that is informed by the law and the practical realities of each individual situation.
Overview
Mr. McDermott was a Director Of HR: Personnel, Policy, and Legal Services for a large school district in Vermont giving him an inside view of the particular needs of school districts. He also served as Chair of a local school board.
Prior to moving to Vermont in 2011, Mr. McDermott practiced law in the Boston area with a concentration in real estate matters. His real estate experience ranged from lease negotiations to helping a Fortune 500 company expand their number of stores across the country.
